I was cooking dinner on the stove when I heard him walk in. I didn’t turn to look at him. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a good night or a bad one. The next thing I knew, he was pressed up against my back, the smell of whiskey strong on his breath. He says, “Spaghetti again?” and knocks the pot off of the burner. I knew this was going to be a bad night. He grabs my shoulders spins me around and now I am looking straight into his hollow eyes…..
