I was kinda messed up as a kid. Got into lots of trouble. My parents didn’t know what to do with me. I got in with this gang, called themselves UPC. Some moron named it after the universal price code cuz he worked in a grocery store, but I didn’t know that back then. Anyway, I thought it was cool to run with them. They had this great tag and we used to spray it everywhere – abandoned warehouses, corner delis, billboards. You should have seen me. Hangin’ upside down off a billboard over the freeway with a spray can in my hand and a joint in my mouth. I thought I was all that, ya know. Till one night I fell. That’s when my whole world turned upside down – literally. Woke up in traction in a hospital bed with a police guard. Didn’t know if I’d ever walk again. And the only guy who came to visit me was this guy Rodd. Skinny kid. They sent him to make sure…..
