Two years later I’m sittin’ at Belmont outside the Arab Prince’s barn number 2 and I notice this thing. It’s not a big thing but just a thing. You know – the kind that bugs ya. Somethin’ ain’t right. I can smell it. And even though I know I should keep walkin’ and keep my big nose out of it, I just gotta check it out. I mean, why does a big time prince with a fortune that could choke a horse have THIS horse? I mean, he’s nice enough lookin’ an’ all with that thunderbolt swoosh on his nose and that thick black mane, but any horse guy worth his salt knows this ain’t no thoroughbred. I mean, look at the slight way that hoof toes in. It’s a dead give away. So how did he get into the Prince’s stable? And how did he even qualify for the Belmont Stakes in the first place?…
