Today’s guest a true chameleon and my dear friend, Talia Pura. Talia has lived in Santa Fe since 2016, relocating after a successful career as a stage and film actor, director, designer, writer, producer and educator in Canada.
Her plays, films and aerial dance performances have been seen around the world. She has appeared on stage in Albuquerque and acted for, directed or costumed for most of Santa Fe’s theatre companies, including her own, Blue Raven Theatre. Talia initiated and organizes the annual Theatre Walk Santa Fe, through the board of Theatre Santa Fe. She is the Managing Director of Warehouse 21’s black box theatre.
Talia shares her brand of devised theatre in workshops, locally and internationally. Aside from co-writing “75 New Monologues Kids Will Love!” with me (!), she has published numerous plays, two drama teaching resource books, and a picture book. She maintains an annual short-term contract with the University of Winnipeg, where she taught theatre for over 15 years.
You can learn more about her at www.taliapura.com.
